Ahead of the return match against Real Madrid, Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich is calling on fans to wear all red to support the team. "Now we're slowly entering the phase of the season where it really counts. We players, you fans, all dream of these games. That's why: we need you, we give everything, we go to the limit and come all in red and then we'll give it gas together", said Kimmich in a video published by FC Bayern on Instagram. The Munich team is also explicitly calling on their fans to wear all red at the return match of the Champions League against Real Madrid on Wednesday evening (21:00 CET on ran) in the Allianz Arena to support the team. After the 2-1 win in the first leg at the Bernabéu, the team of Vincent Kompany has good chances to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time since 2023/24. In the previous year, they were eliminated in a close quarter-final against the later finalist Inter Milan. Real Madrid, on the other hand, has been in poor form after two consecutive losses in the domestic league. Kimmich does not overestimate this factor. "At Real, it's completely irrelevant how they're in form. When the Champions League is at stake, they perform. I believe it's completely irrelevant how they played before", said the 31-year-old. Bayern Munich is in a good starting position to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League. The team of coach Vincent Kompany has already achieved an important result in the first leg against Real Madrid and can now count on the support of their fans to win the return match.
