Leon Goretzka, a midfielder of Bayern Munich, has offered himself to Barcelona, after his contract with the Bundesliga club expired. Goretzka, 30, worked under Hansi Flick, Bayern Munich's coach, between 2019 and 2021. During his time at Bayern, Goretzka scored 15 goals and 18 assists and played an important role in Flick's successful spell at the Allianz Arena. Barcelona has no plans to sign Goretzka. The Catalan side believes that Goretzka has reached the stage where he should seek regular first-team football elsewhere. Despite this, Barcelona will help Goretzka find a new team. Goretzka played over 2300 minutes for Bayern in the last season and was an important player in the team that won a domestic clean sweep in Germany and reached the Champions League semi-finals.
