Bayern Munich won 2:1 against SV Elversberg on Sunday. Harry Kane and Lennart Karl scored for the visitors, while Maurice Krattenmacher netted for the home side.

The 18-year-old Karl opened the scoring in the 26th minute after a assist from Kane. Kane equalised shortly after Elversberg had taken the lead through Krattenmacher, then grabbed the winner in the 72nd minute with help from Aleksandar Pavlović.

Konrad Laimer remained unused on the bench throughout the match. For the promoted side from Elversberg, it was their first defeat of the season after six unbeaten games to start the campaign.

The victory moved Bayern up to fourth place with ten points from five matches. Elversberg dropped to sixth despite the loss.

Bayern showed a strong response following the goalless draw against Schalke last week. Kompany’s side took their chances efficiently and defended with passion, especially in the second half.
