Hainer contradicted former Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn, who suggested that Musiala should skip the World Cup this summer to focus on his fitness. Hainer emphasized that every footballer wants to participate in the World Cup and that Musiala is one of Germany's best players when fit. Musiala recently made his comeback and scored the first goal in the 5-0 victory against St. Pauli, marking his 101st goal in this Bundesliga season. This tied Bayern Munich's legendary record from the 1971/72 season. Sporting director Max Eberl had already stated before the St. Pauli match that Musiala's reintegration would take time. Musiala needs to find the courage to play without fear, which is a crucial process for his return.
