Serge Gnabry and Jamal Musiala have returned to first-team training at Bayern Munich. German outlet Bild reported the news on Tuesday following the session at the Säbener Straße facility.

Gnabry took part in full team training for the first time in four and a half months. The 31-year-old suffered an adductor tear in his right thigh during training on April 18. His comeback came after he missed the 5:1 Bundesliga match against Stuttgart. Manager Vincent Kompany (40) closely monitored the winger's return. "Seine Rückkehr nach viereinhalb Monaten!", Kompany said. Gnabry trained for nearly three minutes continuously during drills.

Jamal Musiala (23) was also back in full training. The attacking midfielder experienced two episodes of neurological dysfunction during test matches. He rejoined full team training on Monday. His return is significant for the record champion's offensive options. The current injury status of the Bayern squad can be checked on our injuries page.

What squad decisions are pending?

Sporting director Max Eberl (52) has until September 1 to shape the squad. A move is on the cards for Arijon Ibrahimovic (20). The attacker is set for a loan to FC Augsburg with an 8-million-euro purchase option. For Sacha Boey (25), however, there appears to be no future under Vincent Kompany. The right-back could still leave the club before the transfer window closes.

New signing Ismael Saibari (25) trained with a bandage on his left wrist. Bayern signed the midfielder for approximately 50 million euros from Eindhoven. His availability for the next match remains uncertain. The full squad list is available in our squad overview.

What does the current squad look like?

With the returning players, Bayern gains depth in the attacking midfield. The squad's age structure remains balanced. Alongside established stars, the club continues to rely on young talents. The next test comes with the Bundesliga fixture this weekend. The exact schedule can be found on our fixtures page.

Gnabry's return is a long-awaited moment. Jürgen Klopp remarked, "Langsam geht die lange Leidenszeit von Serge Gnabry (31) zu Ende!" For the player, participating in team training marks a major step. Bayern's medical department will monitor his progress closely. The next Bundesliga match is scheduled for Saturday.
