Eberl Unveils Bayern Munich's Plan to Offload Three Players
Before the World Cup concluded, Bayern Munich made several signings, including Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven, Nathaniel Broan from Eintracht Frankfurt, and Senegalese youngster Bara Sapoko Ndiaye on a five-year professional contract after his loan spell with Gambinos Stars. Despite these additions, the club’s front office has indicated that they are unlikely to make significant inbound transfers in the upcoming summer window.
Max Eberl's Direct Words
From Bayern’s preseason training camp in Tegernsee, sporting director Christoph Freund and board member for sport Max Eberl have been tasked with reducing the club’s overall wage structure. This involves preparing contract extension offers for Harry Kane and Michael Olise, which means that the club will need to find new homes for certain players.
Eberl bluntly stated, “We have three players we are open to letting go. They have no future at Bayern. If they want to stay with us, it will be tough because we are not planning with them. Then they won’t play a role.” The three players in question are Sacha Boey, João Palhinha, and Bryan Zaragoza.
Players on the Chopping Block
These three players have come off loan spells with Galatasaray, Tottenham, and Celta de Vigo/AS Roma respectively. Vincent Kompany is not planning to include them in his squad for next season, making it clear that they need new homes. The combined market value of their wages amounts to €24 million per year, a significant sum the club needs to reduce as part of its wage management strategy.
Eberl’s future at the club may also depend on these decisions, with the supervisory board still considering whether to offer him an extension.
