Bayern Munich is in negotiations with Saudi Arabian clubs over the transfer of Sacha Boey. The right-back could leave the German record champions before Sunday.
Boey is under contract at Bayern until the summer of 2028. He is generally open to a move to the Saudi Pro League, whose transfer window closes on Sunday. Talks are intensifying to finalise a deal before that deadline. The Frenchman was still present for the team photo for the 2026/27 season on Friday but had already missed the traditional Lederhosen shooting for sponsor Paulaner a week earlier.
The transfer talks are accompanied by another change in Sacha Boey's advisory team. In early 2026, the 25-year-old first engaged new management. He then switched to the agency of star agent Moussa Sissoko. Currently Boey is now being advised by family members. This development highlights the fluid situation in recent days.
Sporting director Christoph Freund expressed cautious optimism before the Schalke match that Boey might stay. "We sat here three days ago and said that some markets are still open longer." Freund said. This assessment may have changed due to the new negotiations.
Bayern have already completed several departures this summer and filled squad gaps early. Alexander Nübel, João Palhinha, Daniel Peretz and Bryan Zaragoza have left the club. New signings Bilal El Khannouss and Jayden Oosterwolde have also strengthened key positions. A planned move for Boey to FC Everton collapsed on Tuesday, the Premier League's deadline day. Until the recent developments, Boey therefore appeared to be the only player from the original departure list still set to stay.

Boey's contract with Bayern runs until 30 June 2028.
