Bayern Munich’s CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has addressed recent transfer speculations by asserting that Michael Olise and Luis Díaz are not destined for exits from the club in preparation for the 2026/27 season. At a press event in Munich, Dreesen dismissed rumours regarding potential transfers as 'astonishingly far removed from reality.' The CEO clarified, stating, ‘He has three years left on his contract, you understand?’ referring to Olise.
Dreesen's comments come after Olise made a significant impact with 15 goals and a league-record 19 assists during the club’s recent title-winning campaign. His stellar performances culminated in breaking Pelé’s record for most assists at a FIFA World Cup this past summer.
The Future of Luis Díaz
When asked whether there could be any discussion about selling Luis Díaz after his impressive 15 goals and 14 assists debut season, the Bayern Munich executive ruled out such moves. 'We’d be stupid, wouldn’t we? We have such a wonderful team,' he said, emphasizing the club's desire to retain talent for the upcoming campaign.
Luis Díaz and Michael Olise are expected to participate in preseason training soon as Vincent Kompany continues his preparations for the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup match against Borussia Dortmund. The event is scheduled for 22 August.
