Bayern Munich eventually decided against pursuing Read due to his injury history and opted for a more stable option in the form of Nathaniel Brown, who transferred from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer after establishing himself at the German national team level. The 23-year-old right-back joined the Bavarian giants for €50 million.

Following his return to regular action with Feyenoord Rotterdam in the closing stages of the season, Givarlo Read is now being linked with a move to Nottingham Forest. Reports suggest that Feyenoord recently rejected an offer from Nottingham for €22 million.
