Bayern Munich are already planning for the future after Harry Kane. Norwegian superstar Erling Haaland is firmly on their radar as a potential long-term successor to the record-breaking striker.
The club hopes Kane will stay for another two to three years and is confident of agreeing a new deal with the 33-year-old. At the same time, the sporting leadership is conducting due diligence to be prepared for a eventual transition. Haaland's progress is being monitored closely in Munich.
Kane's current form justifies the strategy. Just last weekend he scored twice and provided an assist in the 7-0 demolition of Union Berlin. This season he has three goals in six competitive matches already. The entire attack is firing. The current top scorer is Michael Olise with four goals.

Bayern's planners are pursuing a dual approach. On one hand, they aim to continue the productive partnership with Kane for as long as possible. On the other, they do not want to miss the window to sign a world-class replacement should the Englishman end his career or leave the club in the foreseeable future. Haaland, under contract at Manchester City, is considered internally as one of the few players with the calibre to follow in Kane's footsteps.
There is no concrete offer or negotiations at this stage. This is a strategic monitoring and internal discussion about options for the coming years. Officials stress that all talks with Kane and his camp have been positive.
