Now it’s a new season - we have to forget a bit what happened in the past and do it all over again. In terms of the principles, it must be, but we have to have the feeling that we’re hungry and must show everything again. And we have that.'
Full Focus is Key for Success
The important thing now, according to Kompany, is that everything is done right so that the team can perform well in the upcoming competitions. 'You need full focus for that,' he continued. 'Every new season can always be your best season – and that must be the mentality.'
Bayern Munich will start its 2026/27 season with the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, August 22.
