> Bayern Munich sends Armindo Sieb to LAFC
FC Bayern is clearing some roster space by sending striker Armindo Sieb to LAFC in MLS. The move is part of a partnership between the two clubs, with Sieb moving from Mainz 05 after spending time at SpVgg Greuther Fürth.
Transfer agreement
FC Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund commented: "We are delighted that, following Timothy Tillman, he is now the second player to make the move via our Campus to our ‘Red&Gold’ partner club, Los Angeles FC. We know he will be in very good hands there and take the next step in his career."
LAFC welcomes Sieb
"Armindo is an exciting young player whose technical ability, pace, and attacking prowess will add another dimension to our attack," said LAFC President of Soccer Operations John Thorrington. "He has already gained valuable experience at a young age in one of the world's top footballing environments and has consistently demonstrated the qualities we value in our players."
Sieb's career history
Sieb joined the FC Bayern Campus in 2020 from TSG Hoffenheim youth academy. He made his professional debut in October 2020, first with Mainz 05 and then with Greuther Fürth where he scored 17 goals and provided four assists in two seasons.
Future at LAFC
"We are excited to welcome Armindo to Los Angeles and believe he will play an important role in our pursuit of championships," Thorrington added.
Career progression
Despite being regarded as a good talent, Sieb has yet to differentiate himself during this preseason. With so many young players warranting longer looks, the writing was on the wall that Sieb might have to move on to have a better chance of showcasing himself.
