Bayern Munich are growing increasingly concerned that Michael Olise is dreaming of a move to Real Madrid. There is even a belief within the club that the winger is already searching for a house in the Spanish capital ahead of a potential transfer.
The 24-year-old only joined from Crystal Palace this summer, signing a contract until 2029. His strong start to the season, however, has apparently alerted the Spanish record champions. Olise is currently Bayern's top scorer with four goals in four appearances. Just last weekend, he scored a perfect hat-trick in the 7-0 win over Union Berlin and provided an assist.
Concern Despite Long-Term Deal
Despite the long-term commitment, the concrete interest from Madrid is now causing unease. "We know Michael is a sought-after player," sporting director Christoph Freund said recently, without directly addressing the Real topic. The club's hierarchy believes contact between the player's representatives and the Madrid side has already become more substantive.
The Frenchman's current form shows his market value. Besides his hat-trick against Union, he also found the net in the 2-1 win at Elversberg. Under manager Vincent Kompany, the team's form over the last five matches shows two wins, one draw, and two losses (LWLDW). Ahead of the next fixture after the international break, an away match at FC Augsburg on October 10th, the injury list is relatively short, with only Konrad Laimer sidelined. The full squad overview shows the available options.
A sale of Olise during the current campaign is considered highly unlikely internally, given his central role in the attacking setup. Bayern hope talks with the player and his entourage can calm the situation. The coming weeks until the January transfer window will reveal whether the speculation persists or fades. The team travels to Augsburg on October 8th, with the derby kicking off at 15:30.
