This is coming from Germany’s fourth-best team. During the club's annual general meeting, VfB Stuttgart's CEO Alexander Wehrle took a direct jab at Bayern Munich over their failed transfer bid for Nick Woltemade and addressed both transfer negotiations and fan support.
Wehrle revisited the high-profile transfer saga involving the striker with Stuttgart members. Despite rumors that Woltemade had agreed to personal terms with Bayern, their valuation peaked at €60 million - considerably less than the asking price of €75 million from Stuttgart. Eventually, Newcastle United secured him in a deal meeting and exceeding Stuttgart’s expectations, fetching an impressive €87.5 million.
Wehrle also indirectly criticized the atmosphere created by Bayern Munich's traveling support. Reflecting on their DFB-Pokal final clash in May, Wehrle claimed that his supporters completely dominated the stadium, making it impossible to hear any Bayern fans.
