Führich’s Injury and Training Progress

Chris Führich (28) was forced out of the Rostock match after a thigh blow. At the public training on Monday afternoon he was not in the main squad but was present. On the side field he completed an individual session with athletic trainer Martin Franz (44), consisting of running and initial ball work. After half an hour he left again. Whether the DFB star will be fit in time remains uncertain.

Leweling and Hendriks: Return to Training

Jamie Leweling (25) was out of the squad for two weeks due to an infection and even missed the training camp at Chiemsee. He is now fit again and fully involved in training. Before the 4:0 in Rostock, coach Sebastian Hoeneß (44) said, "The match is still too early for Jamie. He is already fully back in training, so I expect him to be in the squad next week."

Ramon Hendriks (25) missed Rostock due to muscular problems. On Monday he was back, but only until the final form. While the field was tight, Hendriks trained only individually. Before the match against the record holder, the VfB does not want to take a risk.

Bayern Kracher: Time Pressure and Opportunities

The Bundesliga opener at FC Bayern is imminent - Friday at 20:30 (Sky and Sat.1). For Führich this is a race against time. He is fighting for a spot in the Bayern Kracher, but his fitness is uncertain. Meanwhile Leweling is being considered as a possible replacement next week, while Hendriks is still not guaranteed. The coaching staff must decide which players can handle the load before the Allianz Arena is released again.
