Bayern Munich's Lennart Karl is back in rehab at the Säbener Straße! The 18-year-old had suffered a muscle fiber tear in his left thigh during the final World Cup test of the DFB team in Chicago.

What happened?

Lennart Karl jogged on one of the treadmills in the performance center of the German record champion. The first photo on the training grounds in Munich after his bitter World Cup exit!

How long will Karl be out?

Up to eight weeks of total break are planned by the officials according to BILD information - no risk! By the start of training with double coach Vincent Kompany on July 20, Karl will probably not be fit enough yet.

What's next?

The goal is full fitness for the start of the season on August 22 in the Franz-Beckenbauer-Supercup against Borussia Dortmund. As the next step in rehab, loose laps on the grass are now planned.

Serge Gnabry is also doing his rehab in Munich. The Bayern star continued to train on the pitches at the Säbener Straße on Monday. Under the guidance of rehab chief Benjamin Sommer, the German national player ran laps and did exercises with the ball - but again, everything was still in jogging shoes.
