Nathaniel Brown’s Move to Bayern Munich Brings Him Full Circle
Nathaniel Brown, a native of Amberg in Bavaria, has officially joined FC Bayern Munich. The left back, who previously played for Eintracht Frankfurt, signed a five-year deal with the club, with a transfer fee of approximately €55 million. Brown’s move to Bayern was always part of his career trajectory, and he expressed his excitement during his first official press conference in Tegernsee.
At the press conference, Brown revealed that he will wear the number 11 kit, previously worn by Nicolas Jackson and Kingsley Coman. He stated, 'It’s special for me because I come from Bavaria. Everyone in Amberg is a Bayern fan, it’s mad that I’m now here,' (via @iMiaSanMia). Brown’s journey to Bayern began in the Regensburg youth ranks and included successful stints at FC Nürnberg and Frankfurt before his move to Bayern.
Brown’s Future with Bayern Munich
Despite his long journey, Brown is ready to make an impact at Bayern Munich. He was part of the German World Cup squad and was the starting left back under coach Julian Nagelsmann. Vincent Kompany, a former teammate, appreciates Brown’s versatility, noting that he can also play in midfield. Brown expressed his ambitions for the upcoming season: 'I want to show what I can do. I know what I can do and what I can’t do. The coach has already shown me what I do well - I’ve spoken a lot to him. I want to play as many matches as possible, help the team and ultimately win trophies,' he said before his first official appearance in the 15-0 friendly win over Rottach-Egern (via @iMiaSanMia).
