Bayern Munich have completed the installation of new privacy screens at their Säbener Straße training ground. The move is designed to shield the tactical preparations of head coach Vincent Kompany from the prying eyes of media and potential opponents.

Previously, reporters and other outsiders could occasionally catch glimpses of closed-door training sessions. The new barriers significantly reduce that risk. Kompany now has greater freedom to experiment with new systems, implement defensive adjustments, or drill specific movements for the next opponent. The fine-tuning of set pieces and potential lineup decisions can also be made with more discretion.

“For a manager who places significant emphasis on tactical preparation, this could prove invaluable,” said Vincent Kompany of the new screens. The Belgian, who leads the team through a patch of inconsistent form, can now fully utilise the closed sessions. The team is coming off a 7-0 home win over Union Berlin, where Michael Olise scored a hat-trick, but has also recorded two losses and a draw in its last five matches.

The squad is currently preparing for the away fixture against FC Augsburg on October 10th. In a competitive environment where Bayern are fighting on multiple fronts, even such a minor edge in preparation can be key. The installation of the privacy screens is not a glamorous development, but at the highest level it is a meaningful one. The final stage of the work was finished last week.
